Race Report – 18 Wins in 2017

Marvin Hall won the Dana Point Grand Prix in commanding fashion!

Bob Francis raced in Encino Velodrome this weekend and brought home a total of 4 victories, including on in the flying 200m, 500m, and 2km. He also took a silver medal in the team sprint with his Velo Track Cycling mates!

Danielle Shumskas won the Junior Women’s 13-14 Regional Championship, State Championship, and event overall this weekend. She took 2nd in the 500m, 1st in the scratch race, and 1st in the points race.

Homare Yamashita absolutely smashed the junior women’s 11-12 field at the Junior Regional Track Championships in Trexlertown this weekend. She took 2nd in the 500m, by a mere .1 seconds, and 2nd in both the 3 and 6 lap scratch races. She finished 2nd overall in the event,  2nd overall in the region, and 2nd overall in the state!

Paige Shumskas endured her first UCI Elite Women’s Pro Tour race in Europe this past week, after finishing off her first junior European stage race the week prior. She crashed 20 minutes into Stage 2, and was unable to make contact again with the group. The picture says it all – give 100%, that’s all we can ask for. Way to keep smiling, Paige!

Jim Kloss qualified for the LAVRA Match Sprint Even on Monday night with a time of 13.59 seconds. He also won Round 2 and Round 3 of the “E” group event.

Todd Woodlan won Round 1 and Round 2 of the LAVRA Match Sprint event on Monday night. He qualified with a time of 12.17 seconds.

Brian Koester qualified with a time of 12.38 seconds at the LAVRA Match Sprint Event on Monday night. He also won Round 2 of the “B” group sprint round.
