Race Report – 113 Wins in 2016
Tom Rotherham ripped it up at the Revolution Cycling Series Round 2 in Glasgow, Scotland. He took 1st in Keirin Round 4, 1st in Keirin Round 6, 2nd in Elimination Round 5, 2nd in Keirin Round 1, 2nd in Keirin Round 3, 3rd in Handicap Round 8, 6th in 6 Lap Dash Round 2, and 2nd overall in the Sprinters Omnium.
Matt Rotherham had an incredible night racing the Revolution Cycling Series in Glasgow as well. He placed 1st in the Keirin Round 4, 1st in Elimination Round 5, 1st in Keirin Round 6, 1st in Keirin Round 1, 1st in 6 Lap Dash Round 2, 1st in Keirn Round 3, 5th in Handicap Round 8, and 1st Overall in the Sprinters Omnium.
Christina Birch finished up her racing at the Pan Am Championships with a Silver medal in the Women’s Madison! She finished 8th in the Individual Pursuit, and 5th in the International Omnium.
Missy Erickson raced in the points and scratch race at the Pan Am Championships taking 12th and 14th, as her last team trip, retiring from competitive cycling with Team USA.
Bob Francis competed in the 2016 Master’s Track World Championships this past week in Manchester. His team pursuit squad, named “Detroit Spoke” clocked a time of 3:42.110 to qualify 9th. Their team sprint, named “Team Rush”, clocked a time of 53.694 to qualify 6th. In the 500m, he stopped the clock at 37.232 to hold 17th. In the sprint tournament, he qualified 11th with 12.495, but unfortunately lost his first round, and finished 3rd in his rep to not go in through the tournament.
